Miguel Cotto, Puerto Rican pride, is the WBO welterweight world champion. He won the title in February, 2009, and has ever since made a fierce defense of his title.

His last fight was against Joshua Clottey and it certainly was an interesting fight. Miguel Cotto suffered an early headbutt injury but lasted until the final round. He won the fight by points and retained his belt. The scores are as follows:

His next fight is against Filipino pride, “Pambansang Kamao”, Manny Pacquiao who is out to get his belt for his sixth one. If Manny succeeds in doing so, then that would be history made for a boxer who is able to acquire 6 belts in different weight categories.
